Amp racks in trunk

Mounting amps upside down is generally a huge no-no.
who said they have to be upside down...i was thinking along the lines of a false motorized headliner ...where you could press a button on the remote and have the amp rack fold down from the ceiling all nice and neat ...but it would also need some custom duct work for cooling...but i'm pretty sure it would be unique

i actually made one yesterday. its slanted. all it has on it now is my MTX mono but i made plenty of room for a 4 channel im looking to buy soon. It came out pretty good. took around 2 hours to get it perfect. it was an experiment build but im impressed. its made from 2x4s and plywood. had black felt on top.

Slants are usually pretty popular.

I've also seen "V"s and other shapes where each angle would have an amp.

False floor is also a big one.

Many options //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Maybe Im just having a hard time picturing your idea, but Im not sure how you'd mount amps to the ceiling, not have them hanging upside down, and still look cool.

i guess they would really be mounted to the board below the ceiling...that looks like a headliner...and then fold down to expose the amps on the board...some vehicles this wouldn't work..due to lack of headroom......but in a truck or SUV it could

How many ideas do you really need? Just wrap the trunk with false walls, cut out spaces to put the amps, Then mount them. If you do it on the floor, it will probly need a raised floor or you could built it flush with the floor using the spare tire well for space. ditch the spare. I have a build log that shows a false wall holding my 4chan visable from inside the cab. I just fold the seats down for display. I might do some more false walls or a false floor later.
