amp quick disconnects?

i'm going to have to uninstall and reinstall my amps quite a few times in the next month or two so my mechanic can access my battery.

is there such a thing as quick wiring disconnects for amps? like something similar to the terminals put on sub boxes? if so where can i find them?

well what size wire are you needing to connect and dissconnect?

I'm doing that sort of thing for the system I'm installing right now. Go to a larger (local) hardware store (not home depot but someplace that has a lot of connectors and stuff) and tell them what your doing. They had everything I needed to quick connect all the cables coming into and out of my amps (including a 1/0 power connection). RCA connection stuff I got at radio shack (female to female plug).

you need 2 of them for a single connection, and they come in different sizes from 8ga to 1/0ga

kind of pricey but seems to be worth it.

it's not like it's much harder to just rip the wires out of the amp if your trying to steal it...

decent wire cutters would make quick work of any "properly installed" wires.

as said a hundred times, if a thief wants it bad enough they are going to take it....

how can you hook them up wrong? It wouldn't be hard to just grab a wire and rip it out of a terminal...unless your really small and weak

but back to the OP, I use those quick disconnects they sell on partsexpress. They're nice, I like em.

4ga power and ground. and whatever my speaker wire, and remote wire is.
