Amp powering up but no output to subwoofers

Okay so tonight I removed my old 800 watt amplifier and installed my new 1400 watt hifonics amp. I had the 800 watt amp installed by a professional installation company so I figured all the wiring would already be there. Because of the increase in power, I upgraded the power wire and ground wire from 8 gauge to 4 gauge wiring. Other then that, I kept the RCA's, speaker wires, and remote cable the installation company put in.

So I wired it all in and when I turned my car on, the amp powers up, but their is no output from the subwoofers? I've tried plugging in my RCA's in multiple different patterns and testing but no luck. I heard somewhere the ground connection may be strong enough to keep the amp power up but not enough to make the subs hit, does that make any sense?

Any suggestions guys?

you need to check to make sure you have 12 volts at the power and remote. also check the continuity of the ground as well
I discovered the problem today. After checking the power wire and the grounding wire I decided to take it to the install company. They hooked up a multimeter And found out the company shipped me a broken amp. It recieves power but will not put any out.
