Alrighty, i ordered my 2 10" type-rs. Well i ordered an amp too. I missread the ohm/wiring sticky and though it has how to wire two 4 ohm svc subs at 2omhs it doesnt say how to wire 2 4ohm dvc subs at 2omhs. It does show a way to wire them at 1 ohm. My question is: is there a way to wire them at 2 omhs, and what will happen if i wire my amp at 1 omh? Here is the link to the amp. Dont laugh, i dont have alot of cash. Uncle sam doesnt pay like he should lol.

That would be due to the inability of a pair of DVC 4 Ohm drivers to be wired to a 2 Ohm nominal load.

Unfortunately, no. One of your DVC 4 Ohm Type Rs by itself can but not a pair of them.

Best case scenario is that is will simply throw the amp into protection mode and shut down the output until you reset it. Worst case scenario is the possibility of burning the amp up entirely. The former is more likely than the latter but bear in mind that the latter is, in fact, possible.
