Okay a few days ago my sub quit hitting and i noticed bass would kick on for a split second when i hit a bump or took a turn fast. So when i got home i started to tinker with it and realized if i pushed down on mid lefthand side of the amp it would begin powering my sub again. Anyone know why this might be happening? Should i take my amp apart to see if there are any loose connections? Any help would be appreciated......btw its a Rockford Fosgate Prime 500.1

don't take an amp apart unless you already have experience with electronics repair.

yes, a loose connection is likely but a novice can do more harm than good.

until it's repaired, you want to disconnect it. intermittent signals may cause arcing which will cause a fire.

No the power light stays on just doesn't power the sub.....also how much a repair on this might cost? just wondering may just end up buying new amp
