amp kit

What amp(s) are you planning on hooking up with it? I am kind of leary about buying amp kits that I have not seen or used in person. Some claim to be 1/0 or 4 gauge, when in actuality they might be a 4 or 8 guage with extra insulation on them.

You can check out http://www.knukonceptz.com , or you can get some from your local welding supply store, or Home Depot. The 2 latter probably won't be quite as flexible as the specific car audio wiring, but will get the job done either way. Scosche also makes some good wire/amp kits, as long as its not the Wal-Mart kits, which vary from the ones dealers and most places online sell. Also, Stinger, Tsunami, PG, RF, etc are worth getting if you can find them for a good price.

Are Raptor kits any good? I have a Power Acoustik 4 gauge kit now left over from my old system but I know it's not 4 guage because the plastic is thicker than the wire.

so would knukonceptz 4ga complete amp kit be good to get?
Yes.

do I need a distribution block?
If you are only running one amp then you don't need one, but if multiple amps, or plan on running multiple amps in the future, may as well go ahead and get one.

Depends on how much power/current you are drawing, and how long of a run it is. What amps do you have?

I'll be using a KX1200. I also found the Tsunami kits for a good price so I'll get the one that you guys say is the better choice.

I choose Hooker Audio.

I've got 20' of 4 gauge if your looking to buy. Im just running 8 gauge to my 300 watt amp right now and unfortinately my plans on getting a sub/amp had to be pushed back.....

If that is the only amp you a running or plan on running, 4 guage would probably be OK. Though, I would recommend you just go ahead and run either 1/0 or 2 guage. That way, if you do add another amp, the wiring is already in place. And also, go ahead and get a few extra feet of whatever your going to run for power/ground. So that while your doing the wiring, you can go ahead and upgrade the big 3 as well.

That would be a simple solution. Though if you want to do the big 3, I would get about another 5-10ft of 1/0ga, depending on your car. You can also look into just piecing together the items you need. There are usually alot of people in the classifieds selling 1/0 ga pretty cheap. Then, you could just pick up some RCA's, inline fuse and holder for under the hood, distro block (if you want/need one), and the ring terminals you can get pretty cheap at almost any auto parts store.

I'll most likey piece evrything together depending on the deals I find, if not I'll just go with the knukonceptz kit you suggested. BTW do you think this is good wire if I choose to piece everything http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/EXIDE-POWER-WIRE-2-GAUGE-128-STRAND-1-2-RED-25-FT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33574QQitemZ8014234205QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW
