just being paranoid but..... If it were a problem with the speaker such as a short in the one of th voice coils, wouldn't it send my amp into protect immediateley?

i was waiting to get my good fluke multimeter back from my buddy but that hasn't happened yet. i will use my other shitty meter tomorrow. i'll also be upgrading my big 3 tomorrow as well.
