Last week i thot i blew a sub. It just quit working in the middle of a song and the amp still turned on and the protective mode light wasnt on. Turns out the protective mode light just flashes once when turned on. By that time i had already ordered a new sub. The old sub was rocksford punch series 12 maybe 1200 w the amp was a rockwood 1000 w. The new sub is a sound qubed hds312 1200 w and the amp i threw in ther was a old crossfire 400 w. Both amps quit working the same way, i know the crossfire was no match for the new sub but i had it turned way down. Anyone have any thots of why this keeps happening? No fuses are getting blown or anything. My guess is a bad ground. Please help me out here and thank you.

Did you consider using the PAC AmpPRO 4, AP4-CH31? It will connect between factory amp and head unit and allow you to have RCA outputs for the amps.
