Hi again, i have a 200 watts rms/4channels amp, so 50rms watts for each channel. I was going to use a 300 wats rms sub( i will bridge it) + 4 speeakers 6x9" 40rms each. The amp is a 2ohms stable, so i told some guys i will also connect the 4 speakers( each channels with 2 speakers in parallel), they told me its too much for the amp to support. Y is that??? when i bridge the sub, i will have 50x4=200 rms, and 50x2=100rms( 50rms for each speaker)When we bridge a sub, we cannot use parallel wiring with the other channels??

if i buy a 2 channels 50watts rms each amp, can i connect to it the speakers( 40 rms each) usinf parallele connection??? ( 2 speakers for each channel) thanks a lot guys

It will depend on your impedances. I wouldnt reccomend doing this, because 50w to a sub isnt going to get you anywhere... If all of the impedances for all the subs and speakers you will be hooking up are the same, then go for it. If not, then you will not have an even power distibution because power will flow on the path with less resistance.

What specific amp (brand/model) are we talking about here?

If the amp is 2 Ohm stable in stereo (most multi-channel amps are) then there shouldn't be any problem connecting two 4 Ohm speakers wired parallel to two of your four channels then bridging the remaining two channels to drive a sub. (provided the sub is 4 Ohm final impendance as well...few multi-channel amps are stable lower than 4 Ohms in bridged configuration.)

If I'm understanding what you're wanting to do then whatever guys you spoke to about it were wrong. There shouldn't be any issues running it that way.

Good luck with it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Hi and thanks guys, the amp is an Evo6000, its been few days that i am learing the car audio stuff...The guy who told me that the amp will blow up in 2 hours is a professional...and got pissed off cz i was asking him questions...he told me i need a second amp:S. My sub is 300 rms and 4 ohms + 4 speakers, 40rms each and 4 ohms each. Sure if i bridge 2 channels for my sub, i will supply 50x4=200rms true? 2 speakers in parallel at each of the remaining 2 channels, means 50x2=100 rsm will be supplied from each channel( 50rms to each speakr) , maybe beause i already did a bride=> so its already hard on the amp, and then 2 parallel connectons on the remaining 2 channels, so every one of the 4 channels is seing a 2 ohm load now, is this too much for the amp to support? i do not have experience and dont wanna try it, and bouummmmm bye bye amp:D. by the way can i use only 2 sub for this amp, i will bridge each one to 2 channels, would it support the load?? a 2 channel 100 rms amp( 50rms each channel) will it support 4 speakers ( connected in parallel, 2 at each channel)? and surely the amp is 2 ohm stable. thx again guys

I can't find any info on any evo6000, but if you have your specifications straight your plans are fine.

Sounds to me like the guy is trying to sell you more stuff.

200w to a 300w sub is plenty, and 50w to the other 4 speakers sounds like a good ratio.

Not only will it work, it sounds almost ideal to me.

You're essentially running all 4 channels at 2 ohms stereo, which, if the amp is of good quality, shouldn't be a problem at all. Bridging just inverts one channel so half the power pushes and the other half pulls.

Hi and thx to ur replies guys. These are the specifications on my amp

4CH mosfet bridgeable power amplifier with variable high/low pass filter

pmw mosfet amp, aplicable 4 channel 800 watts high power( they didnt say anything about rms, i am guessing it must be around 200)

stable into 2 ohms, bass equ control(0,6,12dB at 50Hz), differential noise reduction, thermal and short circuit protection...Ur telling me its ok to go for it( 1 sub and 4 speakers) so u also mean i can go for either 2 subs also? i am thinking at a later stage to connect 2 subs to this amp, and the 4 speakers to a good quality 2 channels (50rms each), then i would be happy with my sound system:D

one last thing guys, too many questions i know, if i go for( 1 sub and 4 speakers) my amperage current willbe: (200 bridged sub+200 4speakes in//)=400x2/13=62 amperes, am i right?? so i need a fuse of 70 amperes? not to mention that i want to put a second amp later, so i will be above the 100 watts and my car battery is 70watts. Sorry for asking too many stuff but thks again:D
