Amp is mono, one channel, but has two sets of speaker output connections?

i was wondering why would they have two pairs of speaker output connections when it is a mono amp with one channel?

I have 2x 12'' DVC 4ohm type-R. I am wiring them to be running at 1 ohm.

does it mean instead of wiring it them together at the end to the amp, i could just wire each set to each speaker output? sounds silly. but i'm just wondering.

Seriously? It's for ease of connection. If I have 2 subs to hook up or even two voice coils, I don't have to jam a bunch of wires in 1 hole. Instead I have 2 connections for a clean and easy install. It wires them in parallel in case you were wondering.
