Amp gets pretty warm...

i just got a zx1000.1 a few weeks back, since i got my headunit running again i hooked it up. ill be driving for maybe 30 minutes and the zx gets pretty **** hot. its only running at 500 watts @ 4ohms, so i dont understand why its so hot. the gain isnt even up halfway, neither are the boost and bass level. any ideas as to why? or have they been this way?

its mounted to mdf and sitting flat.... im not abusing it, the volume is only on 40-47 out of 62, but yea for a good amount of time, except at stop lights and neighborhoods i turn it wayy down

bump.... any input? cuz i did the same with my rockford 600.1bd, it did 600ish @ 2 ohms and it never got warm at all.

its hot, but not like ''ow ****in shit that burns'' hot.

nothin serious, i just wanted to know if its normal or if its the install.

some amps just run hot, you can always get a fan for it

yea it's just an amp that get's warm if it gets so hot you can touch it, and shut's off then you got a problem.

makeing power creat's heat, it gose hand in hand..
