Amp gain question

I got a dd m2b on a dd 9500. When i turn the volume up on my head unit my door speakers distort. No matter how much i tune them on the head unit they do. My question is can i turn my gain up more so i dont have to turn the knob up so much? Even if im not clipping?

Question is, why are they distorting? If you're not going to crank the volume you can turn up the gain some, just be careful man.

I honestly have no idea why. I have every bass booster on 0. My hpf is set to 150. I mean they are the rockford fosgate sound system that comes in a titan. But everything is set right.
