Amp fuse question

Hi I'm gonna be getting a amp that has a internal 160 amp fuse how big of an amp fuse should I run on the powerline to the amp I was recently told I should run half the amount so 80 is that true?

no at least the same as the amp.think about it if the amp can draw 160 amps why would you only use an 80 amp fuse on he power wire

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking. if I run less amp's then what the amp drawing it would be like starving my amp of power right?

What's a good fuse holder for 4 gauge wire and will 150 amp fuse work or should I go more?
