Amp fried. Damaged speakers?

Ok, amp went up in smoke today and played a nasty screeching tone through my components. WHat is the possibility that they could have been damaged? THe tone wasnt very low, more of a screeching sound. (record scratching sorta).

I had the amp bridged putting out 100 wrms to each speaker during break-in (rainbow slc kicks).

Thoughts?

I would check your HU -- quite likely the speakers are fine.

I have seen a Pioneer HU take out an amp before w/ an RCA ground problems. I can likely tell you if that is what happened once I get your amp back. I suggest testing that HU before re-installing an amp.

Thanks for the input jacob. Ill look into that as well.

Im lining up an amp for cheap just to test it out before i put the sundown back in after repair.

Jacob, you were dead on. Head unit pooped. Amp should be on its way early next week.
