Amp for XXX15 in ported box

Might decide to run an XXX instead of my eD B15A (B615)

I have a nine.1 on the way.

Is this enough power (1300-1400watts??)

I know in a reasonably sized ported box the sub will reach full excursion with less power. I just want full excursion i don't need to blow it to pieces.

If i need more what do i need.

I like the Planet audio P2250D/VX2200 (same thing as Power acoustik 3000 amp)

but I like planet amp design more.

I also looked into used american bass XD1800/XD2000 almost got one but lost it, so got the nine.1

I think an SX would do better off that power.

1800+ the XXX really gets moving.

But I have owned that Planet Audio amp, as well as others, and they are great for the price.

planet audio amps are built strong.. ive owned one, and i know for a fact that tony has. they put out rated power, and most likely a little more

my planet audio amp at 1ohm is running at 2800 according to the birth sheet that came with it. im running it at about .7ohm no warming up at all.

i think you would need more power... i have an 18 and i am pushing 2k on it, sealed. it's not even close to reaching full excursion.

i might be running sealed instead.... just whenever i decide to go ported i'm never happy in the end. Sealed i always am. I'll take the loss in output
