amp for type r's

i was wondering if a jbl 1200.1 amp would be too much for 2 twelve inch alpine type r dual 4 ohm subs. i know it'll run fine w/impedence but i don't know if it would blow the subs.

i think they should go good togther. the 1200.1 is 600+1

the subs are ratyed at 300rms and peaks at 1000

try it you might like ti!!

run them at 4 ohms, and you'll be VERY happy

well would an autotek sx2300 amp be better. that way id stay closer to rms. or what about some rockford amps.

Get an alpine 1507 amp 1200 watts rms of power that is what i have seen them do run the subs series parralel to get 4 ohms and yuo will be heard a mile away prolly more if you tune it rite

not at 2 ohms... taht for sure....

in fact, in my mind, tahts the biggest fault in the alpine line...

the lack of a big strong D class amp...
