Amp for JL W6. Around 300rms @3ohms - Cheaper the better

Looking for an amp to power a single JL W6AE. It will need to produce around 300 Rms @ 3ohms.

Not looking for a SQ monster as I just found this subwoofer in my garage. Need something cheap. Thanks!

Wow! Wish I could just go out and find a w6 that I had forgotten about laying around in my garage!

Course, I don't gots a garage, so that would be hard...

If it were me, tho, I would look for an amp capable of outputting >300WRMS to the sub. Nice to have some headroom, anytime, but especially here since you could easily push the w6AE at 500WRMS pretty much daily, with burps at least +100, and be reasonably safe.

All depends on what the OP really wants out of the install, anyway, but I wouldn't install an amp that could only provide 300WRMS to a sub capable of 500-600WRMS.

Really talking more about having headroom than burping an SQ sub, but burps or no burps, I don't think 300W even hits the sweet spot on the w6

thanks for the advice. Ended up getting a cheap kenwood amp that should push around 400+ to it at 3ohms.
