Amp for JL 12w6

You just need to find an amp that can handle the 3 ohm load. Just about any small mono amp will do the job. That sub is really efficient so you don't need much power to get great performance out of it.

Those should get you started on the budget end of things. You can probably find those cheaper (eBay) but those links were convenient and will give you the idea. Good luck. The old W6s are great subs. One of them will get kinda loud but know that they are SQ oriented subs. Sound excellent but there are others out there that are louder.

So would just about any amp that is 2 and 4 ohm stable be able to handle the 3 ohm load? Sounded like that was what you were gettting at, but I just wanted to make sure. Also is there a good way to calculate the wattage at 3 ohms if it is not listed?
