Amp for Dayton 10" HO 4ohm DVC rms 600w

I'm looking for an amp for Dayton Audio RSS265HO-4 10" Reference HO Subwoofer 4 Ohm. I' probably giong to order it soon and will need an amp and enclosure for it. I found a local guy that will sell me a rockford fosgate p6001bd for $180 possibly lower. It it lightly used and practically brand new (it was only used in a show-car) Would this be a good deal and a good match for the sub? or would I be better off with something like a MRP-M500 - Alpine Monoblock 500 Watt RMS Power Amplifier new from amazon for $125. What would bet the amp that gave me the best SQ for my money? I would like to keep it under $200 and would rather it cost less if I wont notice a huge difference in performance.

I could get a 12" of the same speaker instead which would be 700w rms and roughly the same price. so if an amplifier fits taht better at the same price that would be an option too.

You need something that can give 600watts with 4ohm impedance. I suggest using a 2-channel amp, bridged. For example, PPI P600.2 or Soundstream TN2.600D. It should go 600watts RMS with 4ohm load. It's tiny. Prices are normally about $150 online.

MRP-M500 gives you only 300watts with 4ohm subwoofer. This is fine if you will put the sub in a ported box, but HO subwoofers do not have a good sensitivity in a sealed box. If you can spend up to $200, I'd recommend a PPI P1000.1 or Soundstream TN1.1200D. Both do about 600watts at 4ohm, 1000watts at 2ohm (the same amp inside the case, but PPI was slightly underrated). So, these amplifiers will give you exactly the power you need. Why are they better than say a PPI600.2 bridged? If you add a second identical subwoofer later, you just wire them together in parallel for 2ohm final impedance, and then they can see ~1000watts RMS of power.

I recommend this amplifier for that sub.Its very under rated, and is 2ohm mono stable at a sick rms output/cheater amp.I just grabbed up 2 10s, and wired them up last night, and have to say they do sound really nice,and clean.I run an old school amp Autotek cheater as this one on ea sub @2ohms ea.Autotek Mean Machine 66,and they are @50% gain,and sound excellent.This amp delivers a heavy rms bridged compared to the amps mentioned, and are cheaters/Zed Made.I honestly dont think that sub will be able to handle the power this amp delivers,Id say max of a 1clock position, and thats heavy.I have an amp like this one that slammed a pair of 500 rms 12s daily @2ohms @50% gain allll day long.Excellent for front staging as well,very clean,with power/very little distortion.

You are correct. You confused me in the first post, because you listed DVC in the subject, but you wrote the model of the SVC 4ohm subwoofer. (The DVC model ends with -44). Well, in the end, if you buy the DVC subwoofer, then the Alpine amplifier is a good match for it, and good value at that price.

I just installed 2 of these 10"s in my boss's porsche. On 800 watts to the pair theyre pretty impressive.

I would stay away from any class ab amps and just run one of the many d class 5-600 watts amps available.
