amp for a solox

I just bought a 12" solox. I can wire it to a 2 ohm load or .5 ohm load. I am looking for a amp that has 2500 watts at 2 ohms. I was looking at the kicker amp, but wanted to see if anybody had any other ideas on which to get.

Viper 2500D runs 2500 watts @ 2 ohms, I believe. But I dont think youd go wrong with the Kicker.

Get a Hifonics XX Colossus 3200 rms x 1 at 2ohm bridged . 750$ much better then the Viper or get a RF T3000 , American Bass 200.1 , TREO 1500.1 List goes on.

I'd go with the kicker but it's expensive if yuo want the cheap route get the 2500d viper

how are the viper amps qualitiy wise? Where is a good place to find them online?

a lot of people run orion 2500d .5 daily, but i would go with colossus

they are very solid amps. they have been discontinued so you won't find them new really. http://www.ikesound.com has them but you might want to call and check before you order.

I looked at the viper amp. They been discontinued so that isnt a good sign. Also i see alot of them refurbished soo the quality must not be that great. ive got the kicker amp n memphis mojo in my sights. anybody kno of any others that will produce 2500 watts at 2 ohms?

they have been discontinued because directed took over and there is no reason to have 3 2500 watt amps in the same company. pretty much the viper amp was replaced by the directed. same exact amp so why make 2? also if the amp was refurbed by directed, then you know it'll be solid because they also fix it with better parts, and go through numerous quality control checks before it is sent back for resale.
