Amp for 250W Sub?

What amp would you choose to drive a 250W Sub? The subwoofer I'm talking about is MTX XT12-44, it's a dual voice coil subwoofer, 4Ohm each coil. So I'm gonna connect them in parallel, resulting 2 Ohms load impedance for the amplifier.

To sum up we need an amp to drive a 250W sub at 2 Ohms. Suggestions?

I would choose the MTX TC 3001 as it's the closest one, but they don't bring it in Greece anymore...

I'd think that you'd be able to find one of those over there.

I managed to locate the following amplifiers. I sent an email for the JL and JBL to the distributors.

MTX TC 4001 €300

Kicker ZX300.1 €220

Do u guys think that an MTX amplifier will work better with an MTX subwoofer? Or the kicker will do just fine?

No reason whatsoever to run the same brand. I'd get the Kicker for price alone. The difference in output isn't going to be clearly audible and either should be able to get everything out of the sub with some headroom to spare.
