amp for 2 idmax.......

i have been looking for a new amp, i just have a memphis 1000d for both, but it's only pushing about 500 into each, i was told once i get into 750-900 range that the idmax would really come to life, i've been looking at eD's nine.1 i have heard great things about this amp some peeps have said it ran at 1500 @ 13v, i was also looking at the Hifonics 1800d, would those amps be fine or should i look toward the 2kw range...., oh yeah i have a yellow top batt. and just put in a new HO alt so power source isn't a problem
