Amp fell, now isn't working right

I have a Cerwin Vega EXL 1200D and a Fi SSD 12, last night it fell from where it was mounted; don't ask me how. The amp powered the sub fine when it was tipped over, but after I turned it back around the subs no longer played.

So today, I disconnected the amp, checked its fuses, opened it up (nothing looked burnt or broken, and reconnected it.

Now, the amp is putting out the power and works, but every time I switch songs or turn the radio on, the sub bumps once, no matter what the volume is.

I have tried readjusting gains and sensitivity on the amp but nothing seems to help.

Could this be a problem with the RCAs now? Or somehow the ground (which I haven't changed and has always worked)?

Also, when the engine is turned on a constant tone is played from the sub.

sounds like an rca problem.. turn the car off take out the rcas turn back on see if the constant is still there.. go from there

sounds like the internal ground or rca connection is loose

Alright, thanks for the responses.

I opened the amp again and sure enough, 2 resistors are burnt out. They look like they are leading to the input sensitivity switch and/or gain.

Anyone have an idea on how much this may cost to fix? I will put a pic up in a minute.

That's pretty bad. Not sure if you got some blown small caps or if those were resistors...

Sometimes when the + battery or remote terminal + touches the shield (outside part) of the RCA connectors it will smoke some resistors in the amp. This may be what had happened when it "fell". PM Makeshiftaudio and see what he says, or email AudioRX@cox.net As in your PM you know I cannot take it in right now.
