Amp doing weird stuff

Ok so i know this amp works but i try to throw it in my car and it just gets hot.

It's a diamond d3 600.1, i've got a run of 0 ga all the way to the back into a distro block with about 9in of 2ga going to the amp. The ground is the same.

When i hook it up in gets extremely hot very quick, same with the sub and the sub just kinda hums. It gets hot even w/o music being played.

I checked my ground and it looks kind of rusted, could that be the problem?
