i have a very small car with no extra room for an amp so i am going to put it in the trunk i am woried about overheating so i was thinking about screwing down a little batery operated fan in front of it to keep it cool. Do u think this is a good idea or is there a beter way to keep it cool. Also i was wondering if i should put a fan on my woofers in the trunk too. and if i should leave the fans on even when the car isnt on so they dont get hot in the summer. And my last question is should i take it out in the winter because of freezing. thanks alot

The fan idea is a good one. Use 12VDC-powered CPU fans - the things that overclockers and case modders use to keep those beastly towers cool. Hook them up (via a Bosch-type relay) to the remote wire. The relay is there so you don't cook the head unit's circuitry from the high current draw.

You could wire them directly to the battery with a simple SPST switch like a buddy of mine did, but if you ever forget to switch them off you'll drain your battery and call your friends at 1AM to give you a jump start while it's snowing (Personal experience? Wire them to the remote wire, it's a heck of a lot more convienent.
