I am looking for an upgrade on my amp. I currently have a Lanzar Vibe 238 powering two 12" powerbass PB-B125D's. I am really happy with the performance of the subs, so I am looking for an upgrade at amplifier. I was wondering if a profile AP1000 would be an upgrade or maybe even an AP1200? I have heard great things about profile as they do their rated power for a relatively low price. Here are the specs for each of the things listed above. Thanks.

Powerbass PB-B125D's:

50 oz magnet, DUAL 4ohm VC

Sensitivity 87dB @ 1W/1M

FS= 29.8HZ, QTS=0.78, VAS=118.9Hz

You'd kind of be moving from one budget amp to another. If you were starting from scratch and asking for my opinion between the Lanzar and the Profile I would say go with the Profile, but I don't really think it would be worth it to make the switch from one to another.

It's tough to get the kind of power that would make it worthwhile to upgrade with two 2ohm subs. You either need to pay more money to get 2 channels of decent 2 ohm power, or more money for an amp that is 1 ohm stable. If you could find a JBL PX300.4 used for ~$200 that would be a switch worth making. This guy might still have his for sale.

I understand that I am switching from one budget amp to another, but from what I was reading, I thought profile was alot better than lanzar, thus making it better.
