Amp better than AP1500 for under $200?

MMMM Not too much out there for that price, unless you brouse the Forum classifieds, and ebay, and you might get lucky of someone needing cash, or trade, and cash?About $30 more, and you can get a new Sound stream Rubicon, that is a much better amp,or find one refurb, with a warranty, for at or maybe less than the amp you are stating.

buy my ap1500 for 120 shipped 2 weeks old bass knob all boxes manuals bass knob etc...

MB Quart ONX1.1500D - ONYX Class D Monoblock Car Amplifier/AmpWell worth the extra 30 bucks, it's a great budget amp.

thanks for sellin my amp doucher LOL //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cuddle.gif.bd1b29c179c0482f8313dbd790b74c94.gif

we clamped an mbq dsc and an ap1500, and while both did rated power, the mbq was 1db louder, most likely because it was harder to get unclipped power out of the Ap...that said, for straight power, the AP is the cheapest you will find

but for 200$, if i didnt need it this instant, I would wait for the sae-1000d to be out very soon, does close to 1500w anyway, and build quality is vastly better then other amps in this range

im not trying to criticize you, but, where does it say on the ratings that it does close to 1500? best i can tell it's a 1k amp

If it does rated I don't see how its inferior. I have yet to hear anybody tell me a personal story about how Audiopipe is a horrid brand. Of course its not the best, but for the price its hard to beat when it comes to just straight power. The amps you listed are giving a good 500rms less than the AP..

Other than the fact that the AP is not "under rated" I don't see what makes it inferior, plus I would like the ability to stack because it gives me a cheap option to upgrade.

I guess it really depends on what you're looking for.

Its been posted a million times. The AP does not do rated power without clipping.

The amps I posted are under rated. They are within 150wrms of the AP's listed power. If you take into account the fact that the AP doesnt do rated power cleanly those amps are higher quality. They will do rated power plus some cleanly.

AP is an inferior brand in almost every way. The boards are junk, the parts used inside are cheap junk, they dont do rated power cleanly. There is a reason they are $130 brand new.

Last time I checked AP shares some of the same boards with the higher end companies such as AQ, could be wrong on that though. But I could see your point about the whole clipping deal, Just not enough reason for me to spend 70 dollars more on an amp that doesn't push as much.

I mean i'm sure its not clipping to the point where you will fry your equipment within a short period of time. As I said, its just really personal preference. Not everybody has the money to be dropping on these higher end brands, as it has been stated before it is a budget amp.

Also, if the amps are really under rated to the point that its a mere 100wrms away from the AP then I would like to see something documented that shows how under rated they really are. Not because I'm exactly challenging you on this, I just want to see what better could be had for the money.
