I agree, but only for the uninformed as they have NO idea what's good and what isn't, so size/more subs is what they think is the loudest.
Being from Chitown you must see plenty of 8 12's crammed in a trunk set ups and crap like that.

I'm not actually from Chi-Town, I just say that because it's about an hr from me and much more well known. I don't see a ton of rediculous systems, but I have seen some stuff. A sealed box for 4 12s, mixed subs (brands) in the same box, power wires without fuses, you know, stuff like that. Usually the fancy systems are in the ghetto area that I stay out of...nothing like 3 guys pulling up in a large bright colored Sedan just so they can hop out, pop the trunk, and stand there next to their fifteens for no apparent reason...yeah, i wasn't about to have a bass off. lol Yes though, it's hard to wow poeple without playing anything when you pop the trunk and all they see are tens...even if they are MTX 9500s, Alpine Type X's, DD 9500s, Fi BTLs, etc, but then again, that's kind of the best part. "Oh nice man. I see you got some tens in here sweet"...and then you turn them on. My system is actually not very loud by any means, I went for clarity, but I've seen plenty of videos and read plenty of things to know what tens can do.

I had a old school 1989 VW Jetta GLI 16V with two 15inch Kicker Solo baric subs & a 900 Watt kicker amp and it pounded. I also worked at a large pawnshop and we had loads of car audio that came thru their everything from 6 inch subs to 18 inch subs. It really boils down to the size of the interior, trunk space, the shape of the back glass, how many subs, how powerful the amp is and how well the vehicle was sound damped.To say that 8inch, 10inch and even 12inch subs are for girls is just not true. Bigger isn't always better and 15inch subs just take up so-much room, they can't play fast beats, they take more power and that taxes the vehicles electrical system. 15inch subs are for that guy that wants to lose all their trunk space. You will wake up and "hear" then see the light at the end of the tunnel and it will be 3 10's pounding so hard you wont even open your trunk or turn your system on because you 15's will sound sloppy & weak.

Should have done research before you proof read. Your entire post is wrong with the exception of you working at a pawn shop.

15" subs arent faster or slower than 10", 12", 8" or any other size subs. They also dont "take up" more power. Some do, some dont. There are low powered 15's around. Power handle is not a function of sub size. RMS is only a suggestion not a requirement.

I run a 15" Q in the wife's car, so anything smaller then that is a baby set up LOL

You hit up any shows? Only one I didn't make was the B96 show since I was in Indy for Slam...

WGCI does 2-3 a year, Sudden Impact in Alsip does 2, Algonquin has 1-2, 4-5 in Hammond, IN, plus a bunch in WI around 1-2 hrs away.

What show is by you, don't think I've ever done that one?
