Me and her Would have to have a serious heart to heart. That's most of my joy when I drive

When you take your subs out, music is extremely lacking? To the point where I'm don't really even want to listen to it in my car.
I have good bass in my head phones and home audio too. So it feels a little different without it
This is usually a sign of a system whose front stage lacks up-front midbass response. Subwoofers should only compliment your front stage, not dominate it or define its midbass. But, most car audio systems rely on 5-1/4 or 6.5" mids to reproduce midrange and midbass, so midbass is lacking. And yes, a stereo that only reproduces midrange and upper freqs is annoying to listen to, and tends to sound lifeless and boring.

This.

I dont have the issue you speak of OP. At one point I considered not even running a substage.

if anyone doesnt notice it being lacking then they dont belong around this forum.
Guess I don't belong here. I competed a season with no subs, and scored perfect sub bass scores at 4 shows.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

My girlfriend is a huge Elvis fan [we're old] and always listens to the Elvis channel in her Saturn. But after seeing the Cirque du Soleil Elvis tribute at the Aria in Vegas last summer, She insists that we take my truck everywhere and is hinting at a system for her car. It was amazing what a huge live band and a few hundred thousand watts of boom could do for some scratchy old vinyl records. She can't,or won't hear him any other way now..
