My gf knows I never use the phone as a means of chatting. Only time I use my phone is when I have a purpose- find out when something is, or where to go.... stuff along those lines. So when she starts chatting, I just put the phone down until I hear "Hello..... hello?"

If it's a gf you should say something like "I don't love you anymore" or "I've found somebody else" and see if she is paying attention

I hang up on my wife when she does that...I hate it...specially when she calls me here at work...I am on the phone all day with people who cannot pay their water and/or electic bill, getting cursed at....
