first one came with pieces like falling off of it... second ones motor blew 10 mins into using it.. and the next two... both the chucks broke and i cant get the bits out...

is it just my back luck or what?

I'm still on my first one from like 4 years ago.....the old school OG version, runs like a champ. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

mines the 300 wahtever

i dont **** at using them, i dont think its that complicated... all i did was cut 1/2 plywood.. lol

dremels **** for anything more than grinding plastic IMO, Get yourself an air grinder if you have a compressor. I also tried that bosch roto-zip tool but that sucks with thick mdf as well. I returned it the same day.

I burned one up (excessive use) and wife got me the rechargable one, and I think its junk.. Doesnt hold a charge long enogh to do a decent size job. And after the first month it went any speed you wanted as long as it was wide effin open!

I did not realize they were made for cutting MDF //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif I guess that would explain it as I typically use it to either grind shit down or cut off something and a lot of RC cars.
Yes, I use mine for small jobs. I wouldn't consider nor do I think it was made to work with 3/4' MDF. Even my router cries doing circles on MDF //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I think I am on my fourth one in about 5 years. They tend to overheat when pushing them too hard and something goes wrong internally.

Good news is that Dremel has excellent customer service and they will fix/replace broken Dremels for free. I am pretty sure they make most of their money from the attachments so it is in their best interest to keep your Dremel tool running.

Just mail it to the address below with a note saying it broke and give a return address. You'll get it back in a couple weeks good as new and they usually throw in random free attachments. I've done this three times so far and they always come through.
