nice title aye... i figgad i'd get more hits but heres the problem

I'm trying to get my radio to stay powered until the door is open... here is the

relay schematic i got off of http://www.the12volt.com

ok this will work.. but when i close the door the radio will come back on won't it?

Okay, here's the explanation:

First, it's important to remember that you're tapping into your head unit's accessory wire, not cutting it and wiring it to the relay. In other words, it's still connected to the vehicle accessory circuit as well as the relay...the relay isn't the sole accessory power source for the radio.

The left relay will be active as long as there's power on the accessory wire, and as long as the right relay is NOT active. So you turn your key on, and the left relay becomes active. You turn off the key, and the relay is still active because the accessory wire has voltage thru terminal 30. You open the door, and the right relay activates, which cuts off the left relay. You close the door, and the right relay deactivates; but the left relay won't re-activate, because there's no power on the accessory wire. Therefore the radio stays off until you turn the key on again.
