am i overpowering my memphis m1 10???

hey guys am i puting to much power to my m1? its a dual 4ohm dvc 10. im useing a mtx thunder ta 3401 thats rated at 400rms at 2 ohms but the birthsheet says it put out 488. it it to much for that sub?it says 300rms and 600 peak but i have heard that the will handle more power that there rated at. box is an mtx thunderform for a camaro. and it has .65of air space and from what mempis site says that about right for the sub.

you should be ok....Memphis seems to take abuse pretty good......sealed box or ported?

Just lower the gain, that way you have alot of headroom and won't be overpowering anything. Always better to have more power then not enough =]
