Today i had Pioneer DEH-P9300, Diamond Audio HEX S600s, Diamond Audio M361i, Rockford Fosgate Punch 500a2 installed in my car. I used 0ga going from the battery to the fused digital distro block and 8ga going to the amp which has a 60amp fuse in the distroblock. Everything i used is ALL KnuKonceptz. Now, when my engine was off and the contact was on the digital volt meter on the distro block read 12.6. When the engine was running it read 13.9.

Sorry for the blurry pics.

Now am i getting proper power? Is that normal voltage considering i am only running an amp for my comps which puts 125x2@4ohm. I just got the battery new, its a Die Hard Gold and it puts out 640amps. My one friend said that the 12.6 and the 13.9 is pretty low and that it might be my alternator. I seek another opinion. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

the numbers seem a tad low.. just a tad. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

no real worries to speak of, I'd imagine. Was the 13.9 as soon as you flipped the engine on, or only after blasting the system?

yeah but don't forget my car says 14.8 with the car on and 12.9 with it off, that doesn't mean a thing, all cars will be completely different............

The 13.9 was just with the car one without the radio on at all. I just wanted to get a base reading you know. Also the 12.6 was with the contact one with the radio on very low, not the cd tuner.

Thanks for the responses guys. The only reason i am worried is because if it reads a 13.9 now and its average or a "tad" low //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif than what will it be like with an Avionixx AXT 800.2 powering a e15A? I'd imagine that the 12.6 and 13.9 would just go down and maybe cause a problem with my electrical system that i definately do not want. What do you guys think now?

well, it syas in your sig you drive a maxima.....they should have a fairly large alternator to start with......you car will be fine.....LIKE I STATED BEFORE.....every car is different......thats pretty average.....if you think it's bad go get it tested.....

honestly, some recommendations for new alt are not really required. If you have equipments that produces over 1000w, then maybe you need to contemplate.. else, maybe not.

Install first and see if the voltage drops, and how severe it might be. If it doesn't budge, congratulations. If it does drop considerably, then maybe you do need to think about an HO alt. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
