Am i ****ed?- satellite internet

I just moved and cant get cable/dsl so i have hughes satellite internet. Well i can connect to live on my 360 but cant join any games... i just ran a speed test and here are the results. Looks like i cant play live because of the high ping, right?

you can probably play but depending on signal you might get lag and probably get kicked off alot. might be more of a headache to play.

Did you do ANY looking into satellite internet before you purchased it. I don't think I have ever seen anyone have anything positive about it.

hope you read the contract very well. some sat. providers limit or flat out disable your service once you reach a certain amount of bandwidth

IMO i would have chose dial up, it is probably much cheaper and it is definately going to be more reliable

dont have to worry about price... its like 100 a month (we've got the "business" or w/e) but my moms work pays for it bc she works from home.

Plus browsing the internet with dialup is painful. This is just as fast as dsl for downloading/surfing
