I recently upgraded from 2 RL-P's to an HD315. Very happy with that sub, so I purchased another Sundown to run them strapped and throw more power at it.

I fell into another HD for a killer price, and figured I'd buy it for the next vehicle and run 2 of them. But the one in my trunk suddenly looked so lonely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

First time using Trupan Ultralight and it's amazing to work with!!!

First I unscrewed the factory metal ring. What a PITA with the deadener on, but I wasn't to be denied. Cutting wheel and air nibbler on your best friend when doing this sort of thing...

Now I've got a hole I can work with. Funny that's what I told the GF one time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

This is a tribute to an old friend from high school I used to skip class with. The old timers will be able to relate.

He was "crazy" into car stereo and had an old beater Catalina. Well he got a job at Kmart and started buying Kraco speakers every week when he got paid. After a few months he literally had 10 pair of those wonders. 4 6x9's laying across the rear shelf, 2 in the rear doors, 2 in the fronts, and 2 in the dash. Had a bunch of Kraco or Spark-o-matic amps powering it all. He'd play it at full blast, or should I stay full distortion whenever we ditched in his car. And he'd be like, "man my car is like crank city!!!!"

Got the amps wired up last night, and subs installed today. Only got about a 2 minute demo, but I can say that they definitely move some air and have impact. Just what I was looking for.

Probably won't have it finished until Sunday. Picked up some gray vinyl and will make a big trim ring to cover it all. They'll be sealed tight and will fire through black speaker cloth.

Back seats will still be functional and it'll be stealth. Will take some serious fabricating, welding, etc.... but that's what makes it fun to me.

Of course AQ is coming out with 18's soon and I really don't need a roof on my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
