go with the 180amp one. its only 20 amp less at full tilt but 50 more at idle. You will use the extra 50 at idle. thats why its $70 more.





What amp are you using? Also how big is your stock alt? If you do the big 3 in 1/0 and upgrade your underhood battery to a good deepcycle, depending on your amp you might be alright with just that.
everything im using is in my signature. could u explain what you just said in lamen's terms please? and how do i check how much amp power my alternator has..

 
Not to thread jack but considering its related.. I just got an iraggi 200amp dominator alt. Ive got an old stock battery, am I gonna fry the batter by sending it to much power?

As for HO alt. if all your running is the JL 500/1 in your sig you will be fine with your stock alt. But it will never hurt to upgrade your underhood battery with a good deepcycle such as an Optima, Kinetik, NSB. anything along those lines. If it doesnt say right on the alt. how many amps it is, just call the dealer and give them th part number, they can tell you. Or just google it.

LOL, a HO alt will not fry anything in your car. In fact, there is a sticky about that also under the electrical section. here is the link: http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63883
