I hooked up a system to the factory head without a converter to a 2005 Honda Accord and my friend made me take that baby out the next day. The line noise was terrible and everything sounded terrible when accelerating.

Your grounds were bad. You had line noise due to an isolated ground loop. There are tons of troubleshooting techniques you can use to figure out where the whine is coming from, and I'm sure you tried them all at least twice.
