wut r sum alternative ways to reduce massive car rattles and retain bass?

Ive used the rubber gasket type thing from the bottom of a garage door to lift my spoiler off my trunk a lil bit to reduce its contact with the actual trunk....ive used that too also lift the liscense plate off the moount a bit with the same effect...

im adding another set of 12s so i kno that rattling is inevitable

but i wana try and keep it to a minimun

im going to be taking off my rear bumper and wheels in order to tighten everything i can find in the back half of the car

I was thinking about also using sum kind of silicon or soft sealant and putting it on all the rubber splash gaurds and such in order to keep vibes down to the min

any feedback or other ideas would b great

Thanks

Peel N Seal, lol. It can be bought at home depot IIRC, it's not as great as dynamat or raamat or second skin, but hell it's better than weather stripping. lol.

lol for...

i just have to replace the battery i have

buy another

get another amp

another 2 12s....

upgrade altntr

..i just cant justify spending all that money on REAL...stuff

so im trying to make do with as little as i can

obviously its not gonna b anywhere near as good as the real stuff

but i figure with 4 12s it wont matter that much anyways in my hatch lol

ED is selling some of their E- Dead on ebay pretty cheap, not to mention you can buy it from their site by the sq foot and not have to buy an entire roll if you want to do a little at a time.

You mean you don't wanna do this?

5 gallons of the stuff I installed would go along way in your car too man

http://www.secondskinaudio.com/sound-deadener/spectrum-sludge.php

5 gallons x $269.82

second skin spectrum sludge is always a great choice. i had almost 3 gallons in the trunk of my grand am. very easy to use. i have around 120 sq ft of dynamat in my eclipse now...and im quite pleased with it.

but the main thing is 5 gallons is $270

DnyaMat is about the same

shits expensive for just insulation

if i wasnt shelling out so much for everything else i wouldnt really mind

but im emptying the bank on this next step

so im prob gonna take my whole rear half apart and seal as much as i can

put sum silicon or sumthing doft inbetween all the rubber parts and where the bumpers mount to the chassis...wee how it sounds and hope for the best...

any other ideas?

with deadening materials if you are going to keep the car you are better off getting the right stuff and doing it right the first time...raammat gets my vote...if you put it on right it wont be falling off next year hence you wont have to redoing it over and over again.

Have you browsed the Audio Control DSPs, like the DM608?

I love my m25 tweeters and will likely try the tm65mkiv or tm8 next.
