Alternative for Rockford P1000X1bd?

So a buddy of mine has 2 Rockford Fosgate P3S 12's and is putting them behind the back seat in his chevy. i guess if you're worried about matching brands, then the P1000X1bd would be the way to go? He doesn't want to shell out $600 for that amp even after telling him not to cheap out. What could be an alternative to that amp? 2ohm DVC
