Alt. Whine Problem

I had a system in my car before in which I had the sub amps power and ground both hooked up directly to the cap, but yesterday I added a set of components and another amp in which I connect a dist. block for the power and grounded it directly to the cap too. Could that cause it?

Im also running a red top along with the cap.

Ok, im still getting a whine.

Here is what im working with

-I separated all of the grounds.

- The speakers stop whining when I remove the rca's from the high/mid amp.

- I played with all of the settings on the amp and cd player with no change in the whine.

Can anyone help me?

the main point is that you don't have a good grounding spot, your supposed to put all your grounds together. if you put all of those grounds straight to the chassis i bet you notice the problem is gone.

I just did and it didnt make a difference. I even scraped down to bare metal.

are your rca ran along side the power wire down your car or is the amps remote power cable ran along with the rca?(the point being make sure you don't have a constant power supply ran next to your rca at any point in the system

yes it can(not real likely tho man) sorry to say it sucks to rerun shit and spend time doing something that prob wont work, but yes it CAN cause it but it is unlikely(the more times you split the remote turn on wire the more chance you have of recreating this sound) ether that or i would check your big three(if a audio performance place did it they may have put the ground to the alty into the fuse box( or any other shitty spot i.ie ground it with the engine ground) its a easy check all you need to do it pop the hood and see where they ran the wire. if it goes to a fuse block this can also cause it but also VARY unlikely(and if they did this they should not have a job anymore)but as i said its easy to check for so mine as well(before you go spending money on it)

I ran all of the wires and my battery is located in the trunk, so there was no need for me to run any wires under the hood. I tapped the remote wire three times(HU & two amps).

This does ****.
