After hearing a ported 12" Type X sub, I would NEVER run one sealed! That mofo was LOUD in a 2008 Civic Si!

my gut feeling tells me to go with the type X, but i will have two of them so it should make up for them not being ported. ALso going to send them 2600 watts.

I tried to tell the moron not to seal off his cabin with the type R's as he would lose output and guess what........he did and now wants to change subs.

The reason you are changing subs up is because you lost output, could almost put my life on it, so just take the fegtard box out and turn it around and deaden the shit out of your car and it will be loud as shit and sound good as well.

Of course you would rather spend 500 plus in subs than take a couple hundered bucks to deaden you trunk.

If you want good sealed subs, then hit up the new mags......or ID. The Alpines will do well, but don't give them over their 1000rms rating. They don't like it.

It is impossible to eliminate rattles in your trunk with a loud setup inside of it, which is why i chose to seal off the subs from the trunk in the first place.

And with 1500-2500 watts, don't tell me i am wrong either. And what is so bad about upgrading to better equipment, i don't really want to stay with the type r's for the rest of my life.

you wont take my advice, but Id Max. great sub and search in classifieds. Arc Flatline arguably close to the id max in output and whatnot, too even though no online dealers.
