Just here...
I just picked up an Alpine Type X 12. My first box i built was a 1.5^ft (after displacement) sealed box with 700 watts running to it. I felt that the sub wasn't hitting as accurately as it could, so i built a .8^ft (after displacement) sealed box with 850 watts running to it and the sub hits more accurately, but it just doesn't seem to go as low as i think it should.
A friend of mine has 2 Alpine Type R's and I'm basing all of this on how these sounded to me. Is this all because i just have 1 X and 2 R's can outperform it so much? If i were to get 2 Alpine X's would i get that drop that i want? Thanks alot, Drew
Edit: His R's are in 1.6^ft sealed boxes and each have 850 watts going to them.
