Alpine Vs Pioneer

anyone got a pic of their alpine 7894 at night?

I know the Pioneer's display look great at day and night, but I haven't heard anyone mention Alpine's displays.

The Pioneer 7400 is 2.2v

2 sets of pre-outs

22w x4

The Alpine 7894 is 4.0v

3 sets of pre-outs

27w x 4

If you are leaning toward the Alpine 7894 wait and get the

newer 9813. It offers the Bass Engine Pro. "5 band EQ"

I like both the Pioneer and the Alpine decks.

The only big difference is price.

Pioneer 7400 around $250

Alpine 7894 and 9813 around $400

Just look around for the lowest prices.

I'm on the exact same boat as you. I was gonna place my bid on ebay, but then i realized the 2003 models will be out in a month or two. I'm gonna wait till the newer and better(and hopefully a bit cheaper) models hit the shelves!

I think the Pioneers model names will increase by 100 to something like: 5500, 6500, 7500, 8500, 9500, etc.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
