alpine vs kicker vs hifonics, discussion about the 3

hey im starting this thread to ask a fairly simple question. at the moment i have 2 12" re xxx series subs dual 2 ohm coils, going to wire them to 2 ohm and put about 1500-1800 watts to each. i was going to get 4 alpine pdx1.1000 and turn the gain to 75% on all to get the 1500 watts i need, or i was thinking of getting a hifonics xxv goliath which is 3200 watts at 2 ohm split into 1600 a sub. or 2 kicker zx1500.1 amps, SO my question is, for the money, i expect to pay anywhere from 1000-2500, which is the better choice for my 2 subs?

hifonics xxv goliath is better for voltage i wouldnt run 2 amps in my car for daily driving thats just me though

is the hifonics true 3200 watts rms? cuz i hear alpine is pretty **** close, i just want to know which will perform better, which will i be able to get my required watts out of?

yea ive always heard alpine is the closest to their rating

I have two Alpine V-Powers

and do well above what i expected out of them

Autotek Mean Machine 4000.1 would be a great choice.

You could wire the subs to 2 ohm & they'd be getting 2k per sub.

the hifonics will do rated if you have an electrical system that can sustain 3200rms.

dont just set the gains to 75% though, you need to learn how to set gain properly, or else you will ruin your stuff

true but u talking about running 4 of those amps on what electrical if you got the juice by all means go ahead but my thing is voltage i said hifonics bc its only one amp well two internally but still its alot easier on the voltage and still does the same power

power acoustik are ok amps the pa3000db is a beast though just ordered one and sold my HIFONICS if that should tell you something lol

well i have 1/0 power and ground, also doing the big 3 1/0 and im getting 2 new batts, plus hopefully a new alt around 200

Kicker i think would be the best of these. good quality, and always make rated power. The pdx will make well over rated power as well i just dont really like the pdx amps due to there "noisiness"... other then that the Alpine is solid.

You should get a Kicker ZX2500.1, it is a solid amp and puts out good power @ 2 ohm.

I got mine for 500 along with a 4 chan amp

Edit: and dont turn your gains up to 75% just use DMM, the safest way.
