Alpine V12 MRV-F307 vs. upcoming KTP-45

So I have this dilemma. I'm getting ready to start installing my new Alpine IVA-W505 into my car. I have an Alpine MRV-F307, rated (supposedly conservatively) at 4x30W RMS. The thing seems pretty beefy for the power, and supposedly its more like 4x50W RMS at 14.4V. Of course, I'll have to run wires everywhere, etc etc. Now, Alpine is supposed to be coming out with this very small 4x45W RMS amp suitable for installation behind the HU in the dash. That sounds a little too good to be true, but it is Alpine...generally pretty trustworthy. I realize its still vaporware so no one has really seen or heard the thing, but god, that would make installation easier! What do you think the chances are this thing will be roughly as good as the older, bigger Alpine I already have?
