Alpine typer r 15 or alpine type x???

i have an alpine typ r in a 2.5 cubic foot prefab box and its pretty loud i love it. but im trying to sell it to get addictive audio or powerbass or the huge 50 pound jbl sub. this guy wants to trade me the 12 inch alpine type x for my 15 alpine. which is better do u think. i read the x has 130 oz triple stacked magnet. and the r is a double stacked 155 or 150 oz magnet. i heard the guys sub in a custom 2.5 cubic box and wasent that loud at all.

i meant i have the 15 inch alpine type r. which it says 750 rms and x says 1000 and has a smaller magnet. is that true??

Type X have lower sensitivity, so it's entirely conceivable that it will sound less loud than your Type-R. If I was you, I'd save the money until I could afford 15 inch JBL W15GTI or the 12 inch version. From SQ perspective, it's regarded as one of the best subs there is.

type x will sound better than the type r but the type r will sound louder...
