Alpine system - iva-c800e

Hi all,

I purchased a used car which has Alpine IVA-C800E MM Station with TMX-R680A Overhead Monitor and DVA-5205E DVD Player. All appears to be about 12 years old.

The MM Station Screen is raised. Pressing the power button, the screen comes on showing an FM station and has some volume, but after about 3 seconds, everything shuts down as if turned off.

Then a blue light keeps pulsing from behind the Source and the Band button and a pinhole on the frame of the screen. Seems like the system is in a "locked" mode and needs a combination of buttons pressed together to get it to stay on.

Any suggestions would be welcomed please.
