Alpine Sub Decision

Ok guys, I can get two great deals on alpine subs, its either 2 10" Type R's or 1 12" Type R. It is going to be in the back of an Eagle Talon. Probabley sealed. What do you think i should do

2 10s.....two is always better than one. They are both rated the same so they would be about equal except the 2 10's would have more spl.

thats what I was thinking, any amp you would recommend, thats my other problem I already have speakers and a HU.

How many speakers do you have and where are they? Are you planning on amping them as well as the subs?

ive had these woofs in *alot* of boxes, SQ definitely goes up in a ported box so long as its right.

I cant run 2 12'2 unless you give me a deal on them. And as far as the speakers go Im not exactly sure what is going to be run so far but I want good Comps up front and nice 6x9 in the rear coaxials or comps whatever i can get the better deal on. And those speakers most likely wont be amped, mainly because its my buddys car and he doesnt have all that much cash, but then again I have some extra amps around so we will see.

the 10's arent much cheaper than the 12's...?

IF your short on cash grab one 12 and a good box... will be a hell of alot better than 2 10's in a cheapy box, or even 2 12's in a cheapy box.
