Alpine SPX-107r

I have been looking for a good set of 4" components for my 300zx and they are few and far between. Most are set up for infinite baffle since they usually go in the dash, but mine are going in the door in factory bose enclosures.

It seems that the SPX-107r is set up for being in an enclsoure (maybe why some people report a lack of midbass-from being infinite baffle in the door). It recommends 0.07-0.14 cu./ft. My enclosure is a ported 0.10 cu/ft. setup. Should I leave the port open for efficiency, or seal it?

Also, I could mount the tweeter over the port or mount it at the top of the door panel. I like the phase setup on the crossovers for the Alpine, but should I still avoid putting the tweets that close to my ears?

Finally, I am going to bi-amp them off an Alpine MRV-F345 (75wx4 rms). The 4" mid is rated at 30w and the tweeter at 25w. Should I gain match down to that level or can these take a bit more power?

I have two Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1's in sealed boxes running on 300w each from an Alpine MRD-M605 at 2ohms. I was planning on running the crossover for the components 100hz w/ a 12db slope and the subs at 100hz w/ a 12db slope (they can go to 200hz). Does this seem like a good crossover point?

Thanks. Anyone else. They call for 30w for the 4" mid and 25 for the tweeter. I have 75 watts to work with per channel.

Also, any comments on a crossover point for 4" speakers. The tech. guy at CDT recommened 100-125hz w/ a 12db slope.

I've got a set of the SPX-177R 6.5" comps on a Kicker SX600.2 getting around 150 watts per channel , rated 75w like yours. They love it so far (about 9 months)
Thanks, that tells me where I need to go. I got a PM from another member telling me very similar feedback.
